Boyd Erdman, MD, RVT
Medical Director,
Madison Vein & Laser Institute

Dr. Erdman is certified by the American Board of Phlebology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.  He is an active member of the Wisconsin Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Phlebology, in addition to being a founding member of the American College of Phlebology Foundation.  In 2008, Dr. Erdman became one of just over 200 physicians in the country to both qualify for and pass the inaugural American College of Phlebology board exam for physicians specializing in the management of chronic venous disease.  He has spoken and presented original research both nationally, and throughout the state of Wisconsin, as part of continuing medical education seminars for physicians and other medical specialists, and has been appointed to sit on several national committees for the American College of Phlebology.  Dr. Erdman specializes in the outpatient management of chronic venous disorders and has special interests in the care of advanced varicose vein disease including venous stasis ulceration, venous hemorrhage, recurrent superficial thrombophlebitis, and post-surgical recurrence.  Utilizing the most advanced, minimally invasive techniques currently available, he has specialized exclusively in the treatment of vein disorders for longer than any other physician in South Central Wisconsin.

Tracy
Tracy Pulvermacher
Office Manager,
Medical Billing Specialist

Tracy has worked in the medical field for 15 years and has experience in both the clinical and administrative aspects of patient care.  She has worked as a Phlebotomist, CNA, and as a Medical Assistant at Milwaukee area hospitals including St. Lukes and Waukesha Memorial.  Prior to the time she joined Madison Vein & Laser Institute, she was the office manager of a large outpatient vascular practice in Brookfield Wisconsin.  Tracy’s primary focus at MVLI is patient care coordination and insurance coding and billing.

 
 
 
Kary Zagzebski, RN

Kary has been a Registered Nurse for more than 14 years, having earned her nursing degree from North Central Technical College.  She has vast clinical experience including home health management, occupational health, long-term care, and clinical nursing.  Over the past decade she has worked together with Dr. Erdman, specializing exclusively in the diagnosis and management of chronic venous insufficiency.  She has received extensive training in the field and has been involved in the care of thousands of patients suffering from vein disorders.  Kary’s primary focus at MVLI is the treatment small vein disorders and she has special interests in the use of advanced sclerotherapy techniques and VeinLite for the treatment of reticular and spider veins.

 
 
 
Emily Livesey, RN

Emily has been a Registered Nurse for more than 14 years, having earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Her past clinical experience includes critical care nursing and working as the Transplant and Organ Procurement Coordinator with the University of Wisconsin Transplant program.  After undergoing extensive training in vascular ultrasound, she joined Madison Vein & Laser Institute in 2005 and has been specializing exclusively in the field of venous ultrasound since that time.  Emily’s primary focus at MVLI is ultrasound diagnostics and treatment guidance.
